it’s because most people play thinly veiled self inserts/wish fulfillment (even if they don’t admit it) so doing something like that would hurt their pride or somethin idk

how do you play more than one personality if you can only play self-inserts

yeah i don’t think so either. whenever you say upfront in a rp or whatnot that your character is lying, the other character will ALWAYS get wise or otherwise find a way out of it. ALWAYS.

ya i didn’t want to just do the usual team thing of introducing a char w/ personality then immediately after joining they’re sitting in the back of the team with all further dialog being shit like “my team is my friends!!” but we never got that far

unfortunately I don’t think people would have let it work out because no one wants their character to be visibly stupid ANYTHING BUT A STUPID CHARACTER!!!!!!!!!
